As of May 2026, CareCubed Cost of Care’s development team are working on some UI (user interface) enhancements. The goal for the development team is to maintain constant improvement to enhance the tool for a fully integrated interface that brings users everything they need to maintain optimal systems within their organisations.

Some of the upcoming projects the team are working on include:

  • Export & reporting enhancements.
  • Streamlining of user interface design, including navigation and folder options.
  • Functionality of interface use, including enhanced categorisation of cases for ease of access.
  • Quick sharing of information for providers to commissioners via templates to streamline processes.

Streamlining Processes from Development

The UI developments the team are currently working on are focused on streamlining the customer experience, such as ensuring the across-the-board transference of information, enabling providers to have the ability to supply information to all commissioners in one simple way rather than repeating documents. Additionally, enhancing tracking of cases, needs, and development through reporting is the next step in development to continue to build on the process refinement already provided by the tools, benchmarking and costing breakdowns.

“We would like to work on a case history view and are looking at this as a future tool development. Currently, I think most of our users will manage uplifts and versioning of cases by creating copies or using different naming conventions to reflect different periods of time. But we would like to make it more streamlined to enable tracking of a single case or person, through time. This would allow people to see how a person’s needs have changed over time, and how individual costs and the package have changed over time in a more easily trackable and reportable way,” – Lydia Wootton, CareCubed Cost of Care Product Owner.

Expansion of Service Modelling

Alongside the streamlining of reporting and case tracking, the CareCubed Cost of Care Development team is working on a project that will allow us to explore additional care models. There is particular interest in modelling in-house multidisciplinary teamsCurrently, users have options for support from other professionals, and individual hours can be modelled.  The option to build an in-house team for these support types, however, would allow CareCubed to factor in the models in which these teams are structured and how these feed into deliverable care hours

Version Updates

The latest version update was version 22, updated in March 2026. Updates are done regularly to ensure the data within the tool is kept in alignment with the current market. Version 23 is now on the team’s mind, with a number of areas looking to be reviewed and validated.

While the team does not have any new releases coming up, there are many things that are in development, and others that are being considered as future projects to continually drive optimisation and better outcomes for CareCubed Cost of Care users across the sector.
